Wyclef Jean, Avicii Team On 'Divine Sorrow' In Fight Against AIDS
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ d.baron Media) R&B superstar Wyclef Jean and electronic music DJ and producer Avicii were holed up in Avicii's Stockholm, Sweden, studio last winter when one of the songs they were working on made its way to (RED), an initiative U2 singer Bono co-founded to fight AIDS and other diseases. The track "Divine Sorrow," is the latest entry in a month-long campaign called "Share the Sound of an AIDS-Free Generation" that aims to end mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
Watch today the lyric video for the song below:

"The whole idea with the song is, it's a celebration song," Jean says by phone. "No matter what you're going through today, you're going to overcome it tomorrow."

The track starts with layers of Jean's digitally treated voice, then opens up with a crescendo of synthesizers that lead into a swift, pulsing beat from Avicii. They worked on the song with Magnus Lidehäll, Vincent Pontare and Salem Al Fakir.
Proceeds from the song, which is for sale on iTunes, benefit the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Wyclef and Avicii say they find the cause inspiring.
