Alicia Rae Delivers Delightful "Sweet Melody" Video
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Acoustic-pop artist, Alicia Rae, just released the video for her latest single, "Sweet Melody," a captivating tune that charms from start to finish. The video for puts an emphasis on the theme of devotion, showing Alicia paired with the love interest in a series of tender scenes that demonstrate the affection they share for one another. "Sweet Melody" is the first single and title track from Alicia Rae's Sweet Melody EP, now available on iTunes.

With a head-bopping ukulele hook and Alicia Rae's soothing vocals, "Sweet Melody" showcases the singer/songwriter's knack to produce pop perfection. The single is packed with adoration that is pure and uncomplicated, like falling in love for the first time. Her genuine approach to songwriting in her lyricism make her work as catchy as it is relatable. As Alicia sings, "You got me wishing that we could be kissing," it is impossible to hold back from joining in as her hooks resonate long after the first listen. Directed by Don Lampasone, the music video for the single is a beautiful sequence of moments that Alicia shares with her beau. Navigated by the pop singer as she sings and plays the ukulele, each scene highlights their love for one another.



Though the ukulele is a key component in "Sweet Melody," she actually decided to use it only days before recording the track. "I originally wrote the song on the guitar but after my father suggested I record the song with a ukulele, I couldn't get the idea out of my head," Alicia comments. "I don't often play the ukulele, so I had to quickly practice it before entering the studio to record." Alicia collaborated with Chris Rafetto, better known as the bass player for the acclaimed rock band, Honor By August, to produce "Sweet Melody."

Alicia Rae has always had a musical inclination, studying flute as a child, though it was later in life, when she picked up the guitar. Craving a new challenge, Alicia decided to tackle her bucket list, at the top of which was learning to play the guitar. Soon after learning, she began writing her own music and found an immediate cathartic release in making music. Alicia draws inspiration in her own music from acts such as Kina Grannis, Michael Pearsall and Taylor Swift.

Alicia also has a humanitarian side to her music, serving as an advocate to combat cancer. She aligns her music with this cause and uses her stage presence to help spread awareness. With positive reception from her debut single, "Autumn," she soon began gracing the stage of legendary venues across the east coast.

As the lead single off Alicia Rae's Sweet Melody EP, the track displays her ability to produce music that is both addicting as it is authentic. The ambitious singer/songwriter is full of tricks up her sleeve and fans can expect great things from her delightful approach to pop.
