Country Star Aaron Watson Wraps Eighth International Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) With current single "Run Wild Horses" in the 30s and climbing on the US country radio charts and making waves on the international scene with radio play on the UK's 24/7 station Chris Country and across the BBC regional network, Aaron Watson wrapped his eighth international tour in the UK over the weekend, stepping in to upgrade an already planned set for ten thousand plus fans at the new The Long Road festival in Leicestershire, to a 90-minute Saturday night headline performance. In his 15+ year career as an independent artist Watson has played over 2,500 shows in the US and 20 plus overseas, with nearly half a million headline tickets sold in the last 18 months alone, so he was well positioned to step in at the last minute when Carrie Underwood had to cancel her appearance due to illness.

Fans were treated to a full band set made up of songs from Vaquero, No. 1 album The Underdog and further back in the Aaron Watson songbook, as well as a couple of carefully-selected covers from his various influences. UK music site, Your Life In A Song, described the performance as "legendary... Every country festival needs a cowboy and they don't come much bigger and better than Aaron Watson," while uDiscover Music said Watson "seized the bill-topping opportunity, with songs from the true tradition of country that had fans...dancing into the night."

With four highly successful headline shows across the country, this trip built on ongoing support from the UK media in recent years, with airplay from Bob Harris on BBC Radio 2 and interviews on numerous other BBC and commercial local radio stations, to discuss the tour, his love for UK fans and the August release of his new live album Live At The World's Biggest Rodeo Show which benefits the Rebuild Texas Fund for victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Aaron Watson continues to dominate as a true independent in the country music arena. Watson's newest release and highly-anticipated album Vaquero launched into the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart with his biggest career sales debut to date, and at #2 on the Top Country Albums chart. Texas Monthly, Billboard, Rolling Stone Country, Noisey, CMT, The Boot and more have all featured the new music. Vaquerois the follow up to his history-making album The Underdog, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, making him the first-ever independent, male country artist to debut in the coveted top spot. The album features lead single "Outta Style," his record-breaking Top 10 hit on country music's national radio airplay charts. His recently released self-penned new single, "Run Wild Horses," is top 40 and climbing on the country radio charts. Live at the World's Biggest Rodeo Show, the "pioneering independent's" (Cowboys & Indians) 14th album and his first live album in nearly a decade, is set to release on August 24, 2018, marking the one year anniversary of Hurricane Harvey's landfall. $1.41 from each album sold will benefit the Rebuild Texas Fund, in recognition of the widespread devastation across Watson's beloved home state. Recorded live in front of 65,000 fans on opening night of the 2017 Rodeo Houston, the album is particularly poignant to the Texas born-and-bred singer/songwriter.

Watson's rise has been paved by years of hard work and perseverance. Eighteen years later, over a dozen recorded albums, more than 2,500 shows in the U.S. and Europe, and a newly inked global distribution partnership with ADA Worldwide, the Texas native is determined to stay true to his roots and deliver music directly to his fans.
