Halliburton has maintained a lifelong passion for music. Her mother was a classical pianist and her two brothers were guitarists and songwriters. Halliburton was first drawn to the music of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac, as many of us were, in the 70's and has used Stevie's music to recharge and recover from the challenges and pressures of a high-powered career ever since. Halliburton was inspired to write Read Between My Lines, not only from the impact Nicks's music has had on her own life, but from Nicks's proactive research efforts and social contributions to various charitable organizations, most notably the Arizona Heart Foundation. Both Nicks and Halliburton are survivors of fathers that succumbed to the wrath of heart disease. Halliburton, an established management consultant in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries for over 20 years, also became passionate about the cause early in her career and used her experience to further the undertakings of finding a cure for heart disease. While at Pfizer, she sponsored the Dallas Heart Ball, an independent fundraising organization and one of the largest fundraising campaigns in the United States focused on research into the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease along with participating and supporting other heart-related initiatives and events.
Halliburton has dedicated her most recent career venture to paying homage to the imprints that this music icon has left, and is continuing to leave, on society and on the history of rock 'n' roll.
