Jeff Parker's "Suite For Max Brown" Debuts At No 1 On Billboard Jazz Chart
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Congratulations to composer and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Parker, whose new album, Suite for Max Brown, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Current Contemporary Jazz Chart and at No. 2 on the Contemporary Jazz Chart in the United States. The album, released on January 24 via a newly formed partnership between International Anthem and Nonesuch Records, is available everywhere, including Bandcamp, the Top40-Charts.com Store, Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming services.

Suite for Max Brown, named for and dedicated to Parker's mother, features nine original songs as well as interpretations of Joe Henderson's "Black Narcissus" and John Coltrane's "After the Rain." "The veteran guitarist has created an effortlessly detailed album, full of tradition and experimentation that spans generations," says Pitchfork. "It lives at the vanguard of new jazz music." The Los Angeles Times says: "A transcendent set of pieces that occupy a vague terrain lit by jazz, experimental electronic music, instrumental hip-hop and genre-jumping avant-rock ... Parker's album ascends track by track with the majesty of a new-build high-rise transforming a skyline."

Jeff Parker will tour the United States starting in Los Angeles on March 5, with stops in Portland, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, Miami, and Knoxville, where he performs at Big Ears Festival. See below for details and tickets!
