Melissa Etheridge Reelases New Single "Monster"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) 'Monster' marks the second single taken from Melissa Etheridge's hugely acclaimed new album 'This Is M.E.'. The song is Melissa's favourite from the album in which she is describing that some people may see her as a monster, but in truth she is only trying to find peace and love.

The single release coincides with her solo European tour including one very special UK date at London's Shepherds Bush Empire on 27th April. Known for her iconic voice, profound lyrics and riveting stage presence, Melissa will share personal stories about her remarkable journey through life and the inspiration behind some of her most beloved songs.

Melissa is without a doubt among the most charismatic and successful American musicians of all time. Her career already counts 2 Grammy Awards and 17 nominations, an Academy Award (for 'I Need to Wake Up' from the Al Gore documentary An Inconvenient Truth) and a star on the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame.

For the new album, she teamed up with some of the most creative and inventive figures on the music scene: Jerrod Bettis (Adele, One Republic, Eric Hutchinson, Gavin DeGraw), Jon Levine (Nelly Furtado, K'Naan, Selena Gomez), Jerry Wonda (Grammy Award-winning producer of the Fugees, Mary J. Blige, Akon) and RoccStar (Usher, Chris Brown).

"I haven't been this excited about making music and creating in ages. Song after song was a great experience." - Melissa Etheridge

On 'This Is M.E.', Etheridge inspires her audience again with indelible melodies, powerful lyrics and her incomparable voice. In addition, her song 'Who Are You Waiting For' has turned into one of the most personal and emotional recordings of her career to date, written for and debuted at her wedding earlier this year to Linda Wallem. "I sat down at the piano, started writing about how we were friends for years and years, and as we got closer it was 'Who are you waiting for? I'm right here!'" She sent a demo version to Levine. "He went crazy over it, said, 'You gotta warn me before playing something like that!'"

Along with her collaboration with Jerrod Bettis, Jerry Wonda, Jon Levine and the young hip-hop artist RoccStar, 'This Is M.E.' also includes her cooperation with cellist Neyla Pekarek of the folk band The Lumineers, whom Etheridge first heard of through her daughter and who now features on a number of the album's songs.
