Multi-Platinum Selling Singer/Songwriter Ellie Goulding Joins Forces With Triple-threat Entertainer Scarlett Johansson For The Next "American Express Unstaged" Concert
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) American Express (NYSE:AXP) announced today that Cherrytree/ Interscope recording artist Ellie Goulding and actress, Scarlett Johansson have been selected as the next pairing in its popular live stream music series, 'American Express Unstaged,' in partnership with Vevo and YouTube. Goulding's November 11th concert from New York's Hammerstein Ballroom at 8:00 PM EST will be directed by Johansson and live streamed at AmexUNSTAGED.com and via the Amex Unstaged app. The performance is set to take place just days after the release of Ellie Goulding's new album "Delirium" with the Unstaged performance being her first full live show featuring tracks off her new album.

"I am so excited for my upcoming 'American Express Unstaged' performance and to know I'll have Scarlett Johansson directing the live stream is really cool" said Goulding. "I wanted to go into this album making everything bigger and better and from the looks of this collaboration we are achieving both of those goals. I can't wait to perform my new album for the fans that will be at the show in New York City as well as for all my other fans around the world that will have a chance to catch the livestream online."

Ellie Goulding's third album, Delirium is the follow-up to 2012's Halcyon, which cemented Goulding's status as a global artist. The British singer and songwriter has sold over six million albums and 20 million singles worldwide and has scored six consecutive platinum singles "Lights," "Anything Could Happen," "I Need Your Love," "Burn," "Outside" and "Love Me Like You Do" (which went to No. 1 on the iTunes chart in over 70 countries and broke the record for most streamed song in one week on Spotify). Goulding has racked up over one billion plays on both YouTube and Spotify and has performed at the world's biggest festivals, including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, and Outside Lands. In addition, she has also collaborated with top producers such as Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Zedd, Diplo, and Max Martin (on "Love Me Like You Do" and her most recent single "On My Mind"). The lead single from Delirium, "On My Mind" was released to rave reviews.

"I'm excited to be directing this live music event for American Express with Ellie Goulding" said Johansson. "Ellie is a true artist and an inspiring woman; her creativity and healthy ambition are only matched by her humor and humility. It is my pleasure to bring fans an opportunity to connect with Ellie's live performance in a way they've never experienced," elaborates Johansson.

Scarlett Johansson ("The Avengers," "Match Point") won a BAFTA for her role in "Lost in Translation" and a Tony Award® for the Arthur Miller play "A View from a Bridge." She's also recorded two albums of her own. Johansson will reprise her role as Black Widow in Captain America: Civil War. The film is set for a May 2016 release. American Express enlisted Johansson on the project to lend her expertise to the production and help create an engaging experience for fans in attendance and as well as those viewing the live performance online around the world.

"American Express works tirelessly to provide experiences that go above entertainment and by providing truly interactive and immersive moments in time for our Card Members and all music fans," said Walter Frye, vice president, sponsorships and branded entertainment, American Express. "For this edition of 'American Express Unstaged,' we are extremely pleased to have someone like Ellie Goulding and Scarlett Johansson join the list of amazing artists and directors that are a part of our program and provide our Card Members a unique experience to enjoy."
