(Launch) - Former Led Zeppelin axeman Jimmy Page has been voted the "Prime Minister of Guitarists" by readers of England's Total Guitar magazine. The publication asked music fans around the U.K. to vote for the best guitarist from their region to form a 12-seat assembly. Page won the Greater London spot over Pete Townshend of the Who and Brian May of Queen and he also topped all vote-getters for the mythic Prime Minister position. Other winners in the poll included Eric Clapton, ex-Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, ex-Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, AC/DC's Angus Young and ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore.
