Perry Farrell's Kind Heaven Orchestra Makes Their "Spectacular" Live Debut In California
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Lollapalooza founder and Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell debuted new music with his latest musical venture Perry Farrell's Kind Heaven Orchestra this past weekend. The all-star group, made up of Soundgarden's Matt Chamberlain (drums); Jane's Addiction's Chris Chaney (bass) and Matt Rohde (keys); Nick Maybury (guitar) and Etty Lau Farrell (vocals), played The Fillmore in San Francisco and The Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles to sold-out crowds.

The Teragram Ballroom date was the first time the group ever played in front of an audience. The performance was followed by the group's San Francisco debut at The Fillmore, the crowning event of the Bill Graham Menorah Project's Festival of Lights, which came after a public menorah lighting by the "L.A. icon" (LA Weekly) Farrell. Music in SF called it "an evening filled with captivating groovy tunes from the legendary rock n roll icon" while another journalist praised the show as "a spectacular embodiment of sound and vision."

Prior to the shows, Farrell discussed the lofty inspirations behind the new music that comprises 'Kind Heaven.' The renowned impresario and frontman's upcoming new record, the first in a new deal with BMG and his first release in over a decade, draws heavily from a wide variety of sources, from the tumultuous political situation in the United States to ancient Messianic prophecies. Wrapping these themes in a soundscape that veers between the alt rock that made Farrell a legend and experiments with electronica, the shows and new music brought "an exciting kind of rock" (RIFF Magazine) to the West Coast audiences.

'Kind Heaven,' out in 2019, features contributions from Tommy Lee (Mötley Crüe), Elliot Easton (The Cars), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters) and more, and is co-produced by Farrell and David Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti.
