SANTA CRUZ, CA. (Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk/ www.beachboardwalk.com) - Rock'N Roll bands from the '60s to the '80s will have fans cruising down to the
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk to listen and dance in the sand and sun to their favorites at this summer's series of free seaside concerts!
Five new bands, including Survivor, Colin Hay, Rose Royce, FamilyStoneExperience, and Mickey Dolenz are being featured in the 2005 lineup of 11 bands in the Boardwalk's popular Pepsi Presents: Free Friday Night Bands concerts series.
Great 80s bands combined with past favorites such as Eddie Money and the Drifters promise plenty of fun in the sun on the beach bandstand every Friday night at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. from June 24 through September 2. Here's the line-up and schedule:
June 24 Greg Kihn Band
July 1 Classic Rock All Stars featuring members of Rare Earth, Iron Butterfly, Sugar Loaf, and Cannibal and the Headhunters
July 8 Colin Hay of Men at Work

"We're very pleased and excited to have so many great bands new to our summer stage this year, especially bands from the 1980s," said Paul B. Hammond, Boardwalk promotions director. "These artists will help a new generation of young parents create memories of summers spent listening to great music with their kids for free on the Santa Cruz Beach."
