Progressive Metal Guitar Master Glen Drover To Release A New Instrumental Guitar Cd
Hollywood, CA (Top40 Charts / Magna Carta Records) Glen Drover unleashes his NEW instrumental masterpiece on Magna Carta Records, April 5th to the world. Drover's extraordinary talent of arranging/composing lends to the new musics fresh melodies for songs that shows his true diversity and only in Glen Drover's musical notes will you understand:

GLEN DROVER
Members: Glen Drover - Guitars, Jim Gilmour - Keyboards, Paul Yee - Bass,Chris Sutherland - Drums

With the release of his solo debut, Metalusion, guitarist Glen Dover, best known for his precision and power playing with headbanger stalwarts Megadeth and Eidolon, blends the technically demanding musicianship that typified the classic jazz-rock genre with the venom and attack of modern metal.

The instrumental, 10-track Metalusion, featuring five original compositions and metallic- edged interpretations of material composed by rock and jazz-rock giants Frank Zappa, Al DiMeola and Jean-Luc Ponty, melds the robust properties of distinct sonic strains that reveals a new and mysterious element on the periodic table of musical genres.

Metalusion presents a side of Drovers musical identity that the metal community has rarely witnessed, while boasting diverse yet highly cohesive tracks. Each song should sound as though it was meant to be included on the record, says Drover. Nothing should seem as though its out of place.

Assisting Drover with forging a perfect musical balance is Canadian multi-instrumentalist and bassist Paul Yee (who co-engineered the record), drummer Chris Sutherland (Kim Mitchell), Sagas Jim Gilmour on keyboards and a number of special guests, including Nevermores power metal/prog metal guitarist Jeff Loomis, Opeths and Talismans ass-kicking axe man Fredrik kesson, veteran Steve Smyth of the Bay Areas rejuvenated Forbidden, Ohms guitar maven and erstwhile Megadeth genius Chris Poland and classical metal master Vinnie Moore of UFO.

Glen Drover is regarded internationally as one of the greatest players in the industry. Starting his recording career playing with such bands as Testament, King Diamond and of course let's not forget the multi-platinum award-winning metal band Megadeth. Drover remains one of the most active guitarists in the shred guitar scene today. His rise to Platinum success and cult status with founding member Dave Mustaine of the legendary and highly successful progressive metal band Megadeth proves Glen Drover's has got what it takes to explore the outer limits of extreme instrumental music.
