"Lost in a Moment" starts with the clashing up drum sticks, followed by a few guitar songs. Lyrically, it leads off with the chorus: "I got caught up in a moment/Just a moment lost in time/And though that moment may be over/I can't get you off my mind". Right away, the listener can assume this is a song about a short-term relationship that one might think of more fondly than the other one. The singer goes on to ask in the first verse, "Do you think about me too?", showing his desire to want to meet this person again.
In the last chorus, the singer adds in "We were both lost in a moment/I could see it in your eyes/And thought there may be miles between us/I'm not gonna say goodbye". This changes the narrative of the song and allows the listener to understand how there was definitive chemistry between the two, and it was not just one person's longing for the other one.
The song is very catchy, with both the lyrics and instrumentation complementing each other to provide a familiar, yet still unique, sound. The production brings out the best in Socrates, and makes "Lost in a Moment" a very enjoyable song.
