LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Warner Bros/ WEA) - Beginning October 16, the SEX PISTOLS' classic Never Mind The Bollocks album will be available digitally in the U.S for the first time ever via the iTunes store. This landmark event coincides with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the 1977 release of Never Mind The Bollocks...Here's The Sex Pistols. In addition, fans can now go to the iTunes store to purchase newly recorded versions of "Anarchy In The U.K." and "Pretty Vacant," which the band recently recorded for Guitar Hero in Los Angeles. "Anarchy in the U.K." will be included in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock as a master track. Unable to locate the original multi-tracks for inclusion in the game, Activision invited the band back into the studio to re-record a couple of songs. Original members JOHN LYDON on vocals, guitarist STEVE JONES (who also plays bass) and drummer PAUL COOK re-teamed with producer Chris Thomas at The Boat studios in Los Angeles and utilized the original analog sound desk (circa 1969) that was built for George Martin at Air Studios, London, England, in order to maintain the classic sound. This marked first time the band was in the studio together in 30 years. In other news, the SEX PISTOLS-LYDON, JONES, COOK and original bassist GLEN MATLOCK-will make their debut on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" Tuesday, October 30 and "The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson" Wednesday, October 31. Preceding these TV performances, the SEX PISTOLS will play a special private club show for fans Thursday, October 25 at The Roxy in Los Angeles. This gig is made possible by Indie 103.1, Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock and Helio and marks the group's first-ever appearance at the historic rock club-in fact, it's their first-ever club show in Los Angeles-and comes in advance of five sold-out shows at The Brixton Academy in London (November 8, 9, 10, 12 and 14). Additional shows in Manchester at the MEN Arena (November 17) and at SECC in Glasgow (November 18) have been added due to overwhelming demand. Listeners can win tickets to the Roxy show by tuning in to Indie 103.1 or going to www.indie1031.com. In the U.K., Never Mind The Bollocks...Here's The Sex Pistols and its blistering singles "Anarchy In The UK," "God Save The Queen," "Pretty Vacant" and "Holidays In The Sun" will be re-issued on vinyl in their exact original format throughout October for the album's 30th anniversary and will be available in the U.S. as an import.
