New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Sunshine Sachs) Virgin Records today released MATT GOSS's romantic "I DO," EP just in time for Valentine's Day. The title track sets the tone for the most heartfelt of proposals and then ups the ante with a dose of old-school swagger. As Idolator writes, "Matt brings major
Rat Pack realness to 'I Do,' serenading his special lady with romantic words over piano and jazzy percussion." The EP is available on iTunes and Amazon and also features Goss originals "Mustang," and "Lovely Las Vegas," as well as a reinterpretation of Omar's "There's Nothing Like This."
All the songs on the EP will appear on Matt's upcoming album, Life You Imagine (Spring 2014). It was produced by the esteemed Ron Fair (Lady Gaga, U2,
Christina Aguilera) and meticulously recorded over two years' time with a full band, a sixteen-piece brass section and thirty-two strings.
As with all things related to music and style, Matt's presentation is carefully crafted and beautifully rendered. Early reviews confirm that this modern throwback is a welcome change of pace:
SheKnows.com - "It's hard not to get caught up in that sultry voice, sexy accent and sweet, retro music. We think you'll fall pretty hard, too, once you take a listen."
Idolator - "The suave Brit has reinvented himself as an old-fashioned crooner and brings major
Rat Pack realness to 'I Do.'
Billboard - "…a mix of big band swing and contemporary-sounding soul that pays respectful homage to the
Rat Pack era."
ABOUT MATT GOSS:
Matt Goss became a household name internationally in his teens as the frontman of the smash pop act, Bros. Their debut album "Push" went seven-times platinum, spawned 13 top five hits and remained in the U.K. charts for 84 weeks. He has sold over 17 million albums and filled Wembley Stadium to capacity.
He now headlines his own residency at
Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV, entertaining guests each weekend with his career hits, original new songs and pop standards. The Los Angeles Times called it the "hottest show in Vegas" for blending talent, musicianship, and burlesque dancers for an edgy update on Vegas' steamy reputation.
Recently, Matt was recruited to join Sean "
Diddy" Combs and other sophisticated gents for the classically-styled Ciroc campaign.
