New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Brooklyn trio Modern Whale (the brainchild of musician Rob Guariglia) have dropped a new single ("The Dirt") and music video.
"The Dirt" is available now on all digital outlets: https://ONErpm.lnk.to/TheDirt.

Naturally reminiscent of cult television program The Twilight Zone, the video was produced, directed and performed by Raviv Ullman (as seen on HBO, CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, MTV, and Disney's 'Phil of the Future') and Martin Spanjers (Grey's Anatomy, 8 Simple Rules). Maneuvering through New York's finest visual trappings, the video also stars John Beach.

Modern Whale will be playing March 20th at NYC's The Bowery Electric w/ Micky James, The Worst Humans & War Twins.

About Modern Whale:
A "Modern Whale" is not a specimen of the sea but rather a musical crossing. If we are to think about band names as part of an overall expression then this name is enormous. So enormous, so amorphous, that your new favorite group might not fall into your standard "musical genre."
Too pop for indie, too indie for pop, Modern Whale has been Vevo's 'Featured Artist' for each of their four releases on YouTube, with their single "Burn Like the Sun" being a favorite on Hype Machine.

Helmed by Rob Guariglia, the outfit formed in Brooklyn at the infamous rock refuge Meserole Sound Studio (also known as Rob's home base). Living in Bushwick, '90s rock finds salvation and rebirth in Modern Whale. The name then reflects the animalistic tendency of music and is encapsulated through Rob's dog Stella, his assistant and muse.

Rob Guariglia played CBGB's and the Continental as a kid. He also appeared on TV shows such as The Ellen DeGenres show, Carson Daly and Martha Stewart.
Besides being a multi-instrumentalist, Rob is a record producer and Rebel-One songwriter. Equipped with a fully functional home studio, Rob can be found writing and recording with different artists from his homestead in Brooklyn.
He has produced and/or co-written tracks w/artist such as Powers, The Veronicas, Oh Honey and has extensively collaborated with hitmaker Scott Harris. Rob also scored the theme song for the Cartoon Network series The Life and Times of Juniper Lee.

Other notable accolades are his original content, which he provided for Victoria's Secret, UGG, Fox, ESPN and Electronic Arts. Rob also co-wrote a Billboard chart-topping hit, the Christian radio smash "Beyond This World" by Shonlock.
A lead guitarist, Rob has toured the world w/ acts including The Veronicas and 3 time Grammy nominee Ryan Shaw, Oh Honey and Phoebe Ryan.
Beyond playing guitar throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia Rob played in Natasha Bedingfield's backing band for the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony.
