Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ ER:M+M) After almost 10 years of being away from the stage, the Chilean group LA LEY, consisting of Beto Cuevas, Mauricio Clavería and Pedro Frugone, one of the most important and strongest pillars of Latin American rock, are back. They had a bick comeback with mass and magnificent shows at the Festival Internacional de Viña del Mar, and most recently at the Festival Vive
Latino in Mexico, performing for over 70,000 people.
After their long absence, LA LEY introduced a new song "Olvidar" with a video that will make its debut tomorrow April 10, exclusively on Telemundo, on the Al rojo Vivo show (5PM PST / 4 PM central), followed by "Un NUevo Dia" & "Acceso Total" TV shows, Telemundo.com & Mun2 TV cable Network.
The video, produced by Pancho Lora and directed by Stanley, has been recorded at the Viña del Mar Festival. It captures the arrival of the group at the rehearsal place and later at the sound check in the majestic Anfiteatro La Quinta Vergara, where this festival has been taking place for the last 55 years.
Black and white images gradually take on color, and the video takes us from the rehearsal to the hotel and then the group's departure toward the amphiteatre where they put on a spectacular and unforgettable live concert for 15,000 spectators and millions of TV followers who could all witness the official return of LA LEY.
It needs to be pointed out that the classic Viña del Mar Festival has treated the musicians of LA LEY as real prodigal sons on six occasions since 1993, the year the group made their brilliant debut at the so-called Festival of all Festivals.
LA LEY has 7 studio-recorded albums, one live-recording (MTV Unplugged) and over ten records that combine their hits and best songs. They have left their mark in the history of Latin rock and are the only Chilean group to win 3 Grammys so far. During 15 years, the band's lineup reflected different stylistic stages and went through different moments where their members were able to "pull the ship in", as their drummer Mauricio stated when referring to their journey that starts in Chile towards the end of the 80's and continues until being supported by Mexico and crowned by the United States.
The album "Retour" will be available on May 13 (in the U.S.) and features select hits and their new song "Olvidar", a track that is already moving up on radio stations' popularity lists.
