New York, NY (Top40 Charts) THE HUDSON PROJECT has expanded the line-up for the inaugural event (July 11, 12 and 13 at Winston Farm in Saugerties, New York) with the addition of more than 20 acts to a bill led by Kendrick Lamar, Bassnectar,
Modest Mouse and The Flaming Lips. The first-year festival will offer concert-goers the ultimate fusion of more than 85 genre-defying musical acts performing on four stages, all set against the backdrop of the magical Catskill Mountains. Additions to THE HUDSON PROJECT line-up include STRFKR; Four Tet; 12th Planet; Action Bronson; Felix Cartal; French Express Presents: Moon Boots, Perseus, Jonas Rathsman, Isaac Tichauer, Henry Krinkle; Jacques Greene; Bit Funk; Widowspeak; Three; Exmag; Nick Catchdubs; Nostalghia; Tumbleweed Wanderers; and Woody's Produce.
THE HUDSON PROJECT's Winston Farm festival site already has its own place in modern festival history having served as the location for the Woodstock 25th anniversary celebration (1994). Michael Lang-who is working with festival producers on behalf of the landowners-was one of three organizers of the original Woodstock Festival in 1969 and both the reunion concerts in 1994 and 1999. One of the mutual goals of THE HUDSON PROJECT team is establishing this piece of land into a permanent festival site.
Building on the sense of camaraderie synonymous with modern and historic music festivals, THE HUDSON PROJECT has just announced a new Group Camping option which offers festival-goers guaranteed adjacent camping spots. To reserve a group camping spot, each group needs to establish a leader, create a group camping name and password and then register the group at https://hudsonmusicproject.com/group-camping/. Once the group has been created, everyone in the group can sign in using the password to purchase a group camping ticket for their specific group. When the required minimum number of campers-12-15 for a small group or 25-28 for a large group-have purchased tickets, a spot in the special group camping area will be assigned. Only groups that hit a minimum of 12 or 25 people will qualify for Group Camping; if the group does not reach the minimum number of people by Tuesday, July 1, the group will be cancelled and all group members, excluding the group leader, will be refunded. The group leader is responsible for the first group camping space ticket that is NON-REFUNDABLE. A limited number of these spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional details can be found on the group camping page: https://hudsonmusicproject.com/group-camping/.
In the coming weeks, information will also be revealed about how THE HUDSON PROJECT will pay homage to its Hudson Valley home. Details will include a fifth interactive performance area at the center of the site highlighting local musical acts and performance artists/troupes, an art village showcasing interactive art exhibitions, regional arts and crafts and a selection of Hudson Valley-area gourmet food and bar locations throughout the festival site (including local brews, wine and regionally inspired cocktails*). Other onsite highlights include carnival rides, large-scale art installations, more than 20 FREE water stations and interactive activations throughout the festival.
