New York, NY (Top40 Charts) A Delicate Motor is the unique performing/recording project of Cincinnati native Adam Petersen, who creates compelling soundscapes by looping and layering sounds from a variety of instruments including keyboards, percussion and voice. On the sophomore album Fellover My Own, Petersen is joined by a full band to help create his minimalistic approach to experimental pop. The new album will be released on June 29th and marks the band's first release on their new label SofaBurn Records.

On April 29th, A Delicate Motor will be appearing at Homecoming, an inaugural festival curated by The National featuring 20+ artists across two stages in Cincinnati. They will be supporting their drummer Ben Sloan who was chosen as this year's "Artist-in-Residence." The National's Bryan Devendorf will also be joining ADM on stage in their performance.

A classically-trained pianist and percussionist, Petersen composes by way of energetic improvisation, expressive vocalization, and meditation on the repetition of loops. While studying piano performance at CCM, Adam was tending a social culture with many other creative conspirators in their residence at The Marburg Hotel. The Hotel came to be simultaneously a living place, recording studio, and concert venue - a quasi-public, creative safe space for the engaging community.

Fellover My Own was described by CityBeat as "a riveting exhibition of the project's continued expansion." The record is an invitation to fall in love with who you are becoming. The messages here intend to relieve the listener from the paradox of falling over one's own devices and instead begin to move with conscious choosing.
Have gratitude for your struggles, your learnings. Misstep in stride, generate tolerance, grow light. We all inevitably find our way.
