Allison Park, is currently touring with pop-rock giant Plain White T�s, opening for the group along with supporting bands The Summer Set and The Downtown Fiction. Allison�s first single �Holding Me� has entered airplay on adult contemporary and pop music stations and is expected to be in full rotation by December 2011.
Allison Park comes to the pop music scene with a highly developed musical background and an exceptional vocal range. The Pittsburgh natives� breadth of experience and the depth of her natural ability as an artist � along with her charismatic personality and free-spirited approach to songwriting, storytelling and performing � have caught the attention of industry insiders, established performers and dedicated fans alike. This fall, those talents will be on full display as she begins her first national tour.
Her professional career started when she was just eleven when she began performing throughout her hometown. �Maybe it started when my grandpa would play doo-wop for me and I�d dance around at his feet, or maybe it was when he took me to see The Vogues and I made him play their songs 5 million times. Either way, once I was bitten by the music bug, I�d do anything to get up on stage. I�d put on shows at home for my parents, their friends, whoever,� she says.
Allison ParkBy the time she was fifteen, Park had a backing band of her own, more than 300 shows across the Northeastern U.S. to her credit and a network of thousands of loyal fans. Remarkably, she accomplished all of this without the support of a record label, a true testimony to her compelling and distinct sound and her natural abilities as a stand-alone artist. �All that hard work paid off, as over the next few years, I got the chance to open for numerous national acts, and I even got to sing the Star Spangled Banner for President Bush,� she adds.
