Alt-Pop Singer/Songwriter Maltus Makes His Mark With 'Not Our Weekend'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Alternative singer-songwriter Maltus debuts his masterful single 'Not Our Weekend' on May 31st, drawing influence from Vampire Weekend, Blur and Phoenix.

The alternative-pop track takes you on an emotional journey, with Maltus' raw, evoking emotion through honest but relatable lyrics.

The Italian born singer-songwriter began his musical career as student whilst living between Rome and London. Both cities strongly influenced his songwriting and he soon began taking part in different musical projects as a guitarist and keyboard player. When he wasn't busy studying Law at university, Maltus devoted all his time and energy to songwriting and music production.

When describing his influence for the track Maltus stated: "The song was inspired by the conflicting feelings of enjoying nights out in the weekend while you are longing to meet someone (even if the odds are against it). The writing process was mainly influenced by living in Rome and London and enjoying the energy of both cities. I usually create a song by letting a melody and groove grow on me. The most important thing when you create music is being able to surprise yourself somehow. If you feel safe about what you're writing, you probably need to go a little further"

'Not Our Weekend' is taken from Maltus upcoming album 'Beyond Flash' which is set to release later this year.
