LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) Coachella has announced its 2015 lineup: Jack White, Drake, and
AC/DC will headline this year's installment, joined by sub-headliners including Florence & the Machine, Tame Impala, St. Vincent, Ryan Adams, Interpol, Belle & Sebastian, Alt-J, and The Weeknd.
AC/DC will headline this year's Coachella Valley
Music and Arts Festival, performing April 10 and 17 at Indio, Calif. These are the first confirmed North American dates — though others have been rumored — in their world tour supporting 'Rock or Bust.'
Steely Dan and
Jack White are also on the newly announced Coachella bill. White will headline on April 11 and 18;
Steely Dan is also set to appear on April 10 and 17.
The rest of the 2015 lineup is made up, as per usual, with more pop- and rap-leaning stars — though classic-rock artists have made their presence known at Coachella over the years: Steely Dan,
Alabama Shakes, Lykke Li, Caribou, Azealia Banks, Flying Lotus,
Raekwon and
Ghostface Killah, Tyler the Creator, Father John Misty, Jenny Lewis, SBTRKT, The War on Drugs, Run the Jewels, Swans, Toro y Moi,
Panda Bear, FKA twigs, Desparecidos, Built to Spill, Action Bronson, Jamie xx,
Perfume Genius, Mac DeMarco, Eagulls,
Angel Olsen, Vic Mensa, Todd Terje, Squarepusher, The Orwells, The Cribs,
Brand New, Antemasque,
Marina and the Diamonds, Haerts, St. Lucia, and Parquet Courts.
The Indio, Califorina-based music festival takes place over the course of two weekends, April 12th - 14th and April 17th - 19th. Tickets will go on-sale tomorrow (January 7th) at Noon PST.
