DeVotchKa Announce New Tour Dates
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The multi-genre ensemble DeVotchKa have announced new tour dates in support of the critically acclaimed album This Night Falls Forever. This includes stops in New York City, Brooklyn, Somerville, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and two homecoming shows at The Bluebird Theater in Denver. Local supporters KBCO, Westword, and Twist & Shout will present the Denver show. These dates follow a string of scheduled performances across Europe. Tickets are on sale to the public Friday, November 9 at 10:00am local time.

Since starting the tour in late summer, DeVotchKa have also been seen delivering a stunning live session with Paste, a "stirring, epic, and intimate" performance with WNYC's Soundcheck, and a breath-taking showcase of their catalogue on CBS This Morning.
This Night Falls Forever, is available now on Concord Records, which includes the nostalgic first single "Straight Shot", the "high-octane" (Billboard) track "Angels", and the "orchestral-pop tearjerker" (Relix) "Empty Vessels".

In writing for This Night Falls Forever, Urata tapped directly into his past, connecting the dots between that audience-and-artist relationship and a period of intense self-discovery. As for the album's title, Urata was inspired by yet another period of transition, albeit one that occurs each and every day: the passing of day into night. It's a fitting motif for his process, a constant reminder that toil eventually makes way for transport. "I wanted to capture that moment of twilight falling, where there's electricity in the air and you get that sense that everything is going to be OK."
