New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ theoryX PR) Get ready for a hard dose of melodic dub! LA-based EDM pop group Electric Valentine are giving away a free download of their new single 'Albatross' in celebration of their third upcoming studio album Circuity, set for release on July 16.
Listen to 'Albatross' and it'll come as no surprise that this isn't the first time Electric Valentine have dabbled in Dubstep, as band member Chris Qualls helped co-write the OWSLA release 'Dying' with top dub producer Kill The Noise.
Lead singer Lauren Baird's haunting vocals and heart-wrenching lyrics on 'Albatross' draw you in, chew you up and spit you back out again. Combine them with Electric Valentine's crisp production, live guitar and drums, organ synths and a wobbly breakdown, and you have melodic dubstep perfection.
In case the moody vibes of 'Albatross' haven't left you feeling sentimental enough, Electric Valentine have paired the release with an equally heavy music video--a story of toxic love and a drug-fueled relationship gone too far. Watch the story of a broken heart below.
'Albatross' closes out Electric Valentine's forthcoming album Circuitry, which features artists like Adrian Young of No Doubt, Street Drum Corps, Jordan Blake of A Skylit Drive and rapper Pete Wilde.

Electric Valentine's 2009 debut album Automatic reached the #7 spot on the iTunes Dance Album chart, with over 90,000 digital downloads. Tracks from Automatic received both commercial and college airplay and were featured on various MTV shows including The Hills and The Real World. For their sophomore album, The Fuse, Electric Valentine enlisted the help of EDM star Brillz to mix the record. The record's hit, 'Body To Body,' was featured in the Xbox 360 game "Dance Central 2" and will make an appearance in the upcoming major motion picture Stuck In Love starring Greg Kinear and Kristen Bell.
With mesmerizing live shows that feature both DJ and instrumental elements, Electric Valentine put just as much passion into their performances as they do into their production.
