New York, NY (Top40 Charts) San Antonio based singer/songwriter/pianist Harvey McLaughlin and his band will continue touring in support of his recent Saustex Records solo debut 'Tabloid News' with a dozen dates at the beginning of July. The new album has been receiving solid airplay on college and Americana stations around the country and racking up some nice praise. The San Antonio Current explains it as, "There's a maniacal crackle to these songs, a full moon delirium, and more fun than your favorite indie rock band could cram into a lifetime of milquetoast mood swings in musical form."

The latest single from the new album, "6 to 8 Weeks" debuted this week. It's a melancholy tune echoing the disappointment of a young man awaiting delivery of an item ordered from the pages of a pulp magazine. You can watch the new video on Top40-Charts.com

On the upcoming trip, the good-natured rascal will showcase material from 'Tabloid News', a handful of new tunes for an as-yet-untitled follow-up album and a few covers, including an off the wall take on The Velvet Underground's 'I'm Waiting For The Man'.

"When you put it all together, the number of artists that echo through this material run from Waits to Zevon to the '70s cheesy pop of Elton John mixed with New Orleans piano heroes and McLaughlin's own heroes from the '50s -Big Joe Turner and Jerry Lee Lewis. Suggest you pull out the booklet and follow the lyrics upon your first listen. This is some crazy stuff." - Glide Magazine

"Thanks for bringing a smile to my face, Mr. McLaughlin." - INK 19
