Hennessy Artistry Series Kicks Off With Common, The Roots At Chicago's Shrine On September 12, 2009

New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - The four-city 2009 Hennessy Artistry Series kicks off in Chicago on September 12th with hip-hop impresario Common curating and headlining in his hometown. Hosted exclusively by Hennessy, the evening will feature The Roots - named one of the "greatest live acts in the world" by Rolling Stone - as the house band, as well as Elevator Fight (featuring Zoe Kravitz) and Colin Munroe. Additional surprise performers will be announced and several iconic artists may even make unannounced appearances at the events. In the past, Hennessy Artistry Events have welcomed surprise appearances from Kayne West, Ludacris and LL Cool J.

The 2009 Hennessy Artistry Series features a unique blend of performers and collaborators ranging from up-and-coming talent to cameos by iconic special guests and promises to deliver an electrifying experience of unexpected blends: musical, artistic, cultural - and flavorful.

Additional Hennessy Artistry Series events will be held in Atlanta (September 19th), Houston (October 3rd) and New York (October 7th), and Hennessy Artistry will be the presenting sponsor of the Common Ground Benefit in Los Angeles (September 26th).
