LOS ANGELES (Island Def Jam) - With a unique voice that epitomizes the idea of heaven on earth, young chanteuse
Chrisette Michele (Island Def Jam/Four Kings), will satiate "good music" seekers as opening act for talented Motown crooner Kem, on six of his major tour dates.
Chrisette Michele is slated to appear with Kem in New York, D.C., Baltimore, New Brunswick,
Boston and Atlanta from February through March.
Having already shared stages with neo-soul star India Arie and gospel diva Kim Burrell, Chrisette Michele is preparing to enthrall audiences and hold her own with contemporary R&B trailblazer Kem.
More that just a luminescent beauty, Chrisette Michele's tranquil voice and soul stirring lyrics recently garnered the support of Island Def Jam. The New York native is now poised for immeasurable heights of success.
Island Def Jam A&R Shalik Berry recalls, "I was blown away by her rousing arrangements and powerful yet sincere words."
Highly influenced by Ella Fitzgerald and Lauren Hill, her fusion of meaningful lyrics and a mesmerizing persona is a rarity in today's climate of watered down content and simulated studio divas. Chrisette Michele's musical contribution is anticipated to be substantial.
"She approaches songwriting in such a unique manner...her knowledge of music is impressive and beyond her years!" Berry said.
The Kem tour dates will serve as a soul-stirring haven of talent and perfected showmanship. Performance prowess and intense musicianship both intricately describe what audiences can expect of a Kem and Chrisette Michele show.
