NEW YORK, NY (Columbia Records) - The Ohio-based rock band Lovedrug, hailed by Cleveland's Scene magazine as its "No 1 Band to Watch" will bring their powerful and haunting sounds to colleges and clubs across America as they take to the road with Mae beginning February 11th at the University of California in San Diego.

News of the tour arrives hot on the heels of the band's inking with Columbia Records, who will re-release their acclaimed debut album, Pretend You"re Alive, on January 24, 2006. Originally released on The Militia Group in late 2004, Pretend You"re Alive debuted at No 4 on the Billboard Internet Sales chart, cracked the Top 50 Indie Albums chart, and quickly became the fastest-selling album in the label's history and the press began to take notice ...

"Lovedrug's rock power grabs listeners by the ears, (while) Shepard's sweet-and-tender vocals and fantasy-storyteller lyrics opt for their heartstrings..."

Alternative Press
'somewhere between '70s-style guitar-rock grandeur and pre-weird Radiohead...'

Entertainment Weekly
Over the course of the band's three-year evolution, Lovedrug has shared stages with a broad range of artists including Robert Plant, The Killers, Switchfoot, Something Corporate, Copeland, Braid, Cat Power, Elliot, and Eisley, among others. The extensive roadwork has paid off for Lovedrug, whose performances connect with the hearts and souls of their ever-growing fanbase.
