In the festival's 20th year, there is yet much to be discovered. One of the first confirmed artists is a new up-and-comer: twenty-year-old Alma. The green-haired girl with a stand-out voice and the hit "
Bonfire" will play her first regular concert in Switzerland. The Slow Show from Manchester will be striking up simple, epic songs in a brittle, husky baritone. Techno musician and concept artist Pantha Du
Prince from Hamburg - known for his hypnotic electro compositions - also confirmed his appearance; as did Young Fathers, winners of the British «Mercury Prize 2014»; and Jan Blomqvist & Band, who will bring their danceable concert techno from Berlin. The list continues with singer Roosevelt, whose electro-pop debut album caused a stir in Germany last summer; and US-American rapper Oddisee & Compny showcasing their mélange of high-toned rap and modern jazz sounds. Twenty-year-old Loyle Carner, from Great Britain, is the newest rising star on the firmament of «UK-Raps». Acts confirmed from Switzerland include: Nemo, from Biel, who at 17 is pushing the boundaries of hip-hop; and the rap combo GeilerAsDu from Lucerne, which has released its fourth album. Odd Beholder is a duo of electro artists from Zurich who take a swing at the music world with their minimalist sounds and outlandish videos. Audio Dope, from Basel, was winner of the electronic category at the 2015 Demotape Clinic, and will be releasing new music next year.
