New York, NY (Top40 Charts) EDM DJ and drummer Don Vaughn announced the release of his debut album "The Don Vaughn Experiment" on iTunes. The album comprises 10 tracks that stretch the boundaries of popular music, fusing Vaughn's technical production, high intensity drumming, and melodic vocals featuring an array of talented artists.
The first single off the album, "
Again" featuring Nick Lachey, debuted last week to rave reviews by fans. "The Don Vaughn Experiment" was recorded with award winning producer Loren Johnson in Nashville,
Houston and Los Angeles. The project was mixed by Hank Kalleen (Paul Oakenfold) and mastered in the UK by
Simon Davey (Calvin Harris). By mixing his understanding of neuroscience with his musical talent, Vaughn is creating a new and unforgettable experience for his fans.
"I am so excited to finish this project and push it out to the EDM community," stated Vaughn. "No one has combined EDM with acoustic instrumentation like this."
Vaughn graduated from Stanford in 2008 with a dual degree in Physics and Economics. He is currently attending UCLA where he is working towards his PhD in Neuroscience.
In 2013 Vaughn was named Cosmopolitan Magazine's "Bachelor of the Year, Texas." He has modeled for numerous brands such as Adidas,
Neiman Marcus, Academy and Men's Warehouse. He was also named one of Houston's "Top 10 Most Influential People" by First Class Magazine, and "Most Stylish" by Futur-ish Magazine.
Don's research will be featured in a forthcoming documentary on the inner-workings of the brain.
