New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Best R&B Album, Best R&B Song, Best Traditional R&B Performance Nods Mark Three Consecutive Years of Multiple Grammy Nominations

Today, PJ Morton celebrates his third consecutive year of multiple Grammy nominations. Per this morning's news, the music of his acclaimed and outspoken 2019 album PAUL is up for the following three awards, bringing his current career count to 13 nominations. Morton won his first Grammy earlier this year for Best Traditional R&B Performance.

PJ MORTON 2020 GRAMMY NOMINATIONS
Best R&B Album - PAUL
Morton has now earned this nomination three years in a row, after Gumbo Unplugged (2018), and Gumbo (2017).

Best R&B Song - "Say So" (feat. JoJo)
Watch Morton and JoJo perform their hit collaboration on the TODAY Show.
Best Traditional R&B Performance - "Built For Love" (feat. Jazmine Sullivan)
Morton is the reigning champion in this category, after winning for "How Deep Is Your Love" (feat. Yebba) this past February.

PJ Morton self-released PAUL via his own Morton Records, and self-produced it in a matter of days from his New Orleans studio. Praise for PAUL
"A New Orleans-born virtuoso...[PJ Morton] runs the influences of Allen Toussaint and Stevie Wonder through a bevy of ideas from R&B's more recent decades. All the while he's leaning hard on his buttery, heartfelt singing voice and masterful studio chops."

The New York Times
"It's clear from PAUL that Morton has figured out what he wants to say as a solo artist"
NPR
"PJ Morton doesn't shy away from making a point with his lyrics."
The Wall Street Journal
"One of music's most inventive, intrepid virtuosos."
Interview Magazine
"PAUL is a feel-good journey back to basics...nods to the simplicities of human emotion...turns up the volume on pro-blackness"
