Rachel Platten May Stand By You On Campus With #CheggMusic101 And bareMinerals
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Chegg) Chegg, the Student Hub, in partnership with bareMinerals Blemish Remedy, today announced one US. college or high school campus can win a once-in-a-lifetime visit from Stand by You and Fight Song singer, Rachel Platten. Beginning today, high school and college students can vote for their school to win this on-campus experience through an online contest. The up and coming artist will take over the classroom with a look into her career and success in the industry, as well as host an exclusive Q&A with students and perform a few of her biggest hits.

bareMinerals will also host a custom on-site activation at the winning campus to introduce their NEW Blemish Remedy® product line, designed for blemish-prone skin. Blemish Remedy™ Mattifying Prep Gel, Foundation and Concealer give skin a beautiful, flawless look while diminishing the appearance of redness and imperfections.

To celebrate the importance of arts in education, Chegg will also award the winning school a $10,000 grant for their music department from Chegg's David B. Goldberg Music Scholarship fund.

"By teaming up with Chegg and bareMinerals, Rachel gets to share her love for music in education with students and fans in a uniquely intimate setting," said Josh Tangney, Manager at SMG Entertainment. "Working to support music education around the world is so important to Rachel and by working with Chegg Music 101 she can continue to inspire passion for the arts in the next generation."

Students attending high school or college in the contiguous 48 states can begin nominating their campus today for a chance to win the experience. To do so, students simply visit play.chegg.com/RachelPlatten, log in to Chegg, and vote for their school. The school with the most student votes will win the visit from Rachel Platten. Students can also earn additional votes through purchasing Rachel Platten's single Stand By You watching a bareMinerals video about their Blemish Remedy product or downloading the Chegg app. The classroom-takeover will take place before the end of May 2016.

#CheggMusic101 powered by bareMinerals represents the next installment in an ongoing series of music classes that Chegg and various artists bring to students across college and high school campuses nationwide. This season's contest follows successful programs that Chegg has conducted with top-artists including Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons and U2.

"Millions of students come to Chegg for academic help, but it's also important to give them a study break too," said Mitch Spolan, EVP of Brand Partnerships at Chegg. "CheggMusic101 has succeeded because it delivers uniquely entertaining and enriching experiences that build deeper ties and more meaningful engagement between students and the artists and brands they love."

Rachel Platten always dreamed of music as a career but never really thought it was possible. Fast forward to present day, Rachel is without a doubt an inspiration, with "Fight Song" topping iTunes and radio charts in 2015, and selling more than 2 million downloads in the U.S. alone. Rachel continues to inspire with Columbia Records and a major label debut, "Wildfire," which was released January 1st, 2016. Rachel recently premiered a beautifully uplifting music video for her current single "Stand By You," another emotionally empowering anthem from the songstress. Most important to Rachel is bringing people together through the power of music.
