New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, THE WLDLFE release the new single "Towel", along with a vertical music video to accommodate the track.
"Towel" centers on the old phrase "throwing in the towel", for which the brokenhearted protagonist of this story does not want to do. The love story here remains unfinished, and though one partner seems to be giving up, lead singer Jansen Hogan croons through the track in hopeful protest that things are not over yet.
""Towel" has been a work in progress for about two years now and even though it took awhile to get exactly where we wanted it to be, we feel like it was definitely worth the wait," shares Hogan. "I think it shows a side of us that people may not have heard before and that's what makes this song so special to us."

The video, created by up-and-coming music video director Brad Wong who also did the video for THE WLDLFE's "I Don't Mind", offers a lighthearted, comical visual for the heavy-hitting track. Shot in the ever-more popular vertical format, with evolving shapes and a polished aesthetic of complimentary blues and oranges, the bandmates pine over a goldfish in a fish bowl. In typical fashion, heartbreak and comedy weave together as THE WLDLFE flagship.

THE WLDLFE, an alt pop band from Indianapolis, also released the popular singles "I Don't Mind" and "Real Ones" earlier this year from their forthcoming full length album, following the success of 2016's and 2017's I.L.Y. The band is comprised of frontman Jansen Hogan, guitarist Jason Boucouras, drummer Geoff Jones, bass player Jack Crane, and multi-instrumentalist Carson Hogan. They produce cinematic pop using maximalistic production and an honest simplicity to their lyrics.

Following the band's showcase at the Music Cities Forum in their hometown, focused on developing the emerging music scene in Indianapolis, THE WLDLFE have announced their first ever headline show at the Deluxe on September 7th. For more information and concert tickets, visit thewldlfemsc.com.
