The ICMP Announces Songwriting Scholarship With Shure, Focusrite And Taylor Guitars
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) This year the ICMP, in partnership with Shure, Focusrite and Taylor Guitars, is excited to announce that it will be awarding a full scholarship on our Certificate of Higher Education for Songwriting course, worth over 6,000. The scholarship ensures that a wide range of students are able to study with us and gain access to our support and guidance. The award aims to provide talented songwriters with the opportunity to further develop their skills through a specialist course of study.
While studying at the ICMP, the winner of this prestigious award will be able to take part in regular live showcase events, develop their talent in a creative and supportive environment and have direct access to leading industry professionals. Designed for both songwriters and singer/songwriters, the programme helps students to develop their lyric writing, song form, song structure, and harmony and music theory. Students on the Cert HE Songwriting degree will also be offered many chances to undertake collaborative work, both with other ICMP programmes in London and alongside a range of professional organisations.
The winner will also receive prizes from our partners, including a Shure SM58 microphone; Focusrite Scarlett Studio kit and a BT2 Baby Taylor Guitar to give the participant everything that will need to kick start their course at the ICMP.
To apply for the scholarship, you will need to complete the relevant application, attach a video link to a solo performance showcasing your ability as a songwriter and a short cover letter stating why you want to study at the ICMP. All applications must be submitted before the 1st of June. Our fantastic panel of industry judges will be announced in the coming weeks.
