New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Stokes
Nielson has combined his love of hip-hop, pop, and country on the anthemic party hit "Gravy (All The Bad Girls)." Recorded in Los Angeles and UK's Abbey Road Studios with
Brian Kennedy (Rihanna,
Leona Lewis, Keri Hilson) producing, the track also features Latin hip-hop star Baby Bash. The single recently entered the Pop 100 radio chart and earlier this month Yahoo
Music exclusively premiered the video on the front page of Yahoo Music. Directed by Stokes' buddy Harrison Tobin, the tongue-in-cheek vintage MTV-inspired video was shot in Tokyo, London, Los Angeles, and New York. The guitarist and songwriter for the American Country Music Award nominated country band The Lost Trailers explains, "after last year's ACM Awards, I was introduced to pop producer Brian Kennedy and we immediately hit it off. On The Lost Trailers previous album 'Holler Back' we did a song I wrote (also called "Gravy") that straddled country and hip-hop but Brian and I thought that it would be great to take it a step further and try out a collaboration on the tune. I re-wrote the verses to be even more hip-hop influenced, added some international elements, and we called up our label mate and friend Baby Bash to record a verse."
"No one is more surprised about the success of this song than me, "Stokes laughs. "I just did it out of pure love for music. I like and listen to all kinds of music. When I was growing up my friends and I would blast Jay-Z right next to Hank Jr."
As the guitarist/songwriter for The Lost Trailers, Stokes is heading out on one of biggest tours of the year opening up for Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum on 17 dates in the US and Canada.
Sony has made a deal with Stokes' indie label, Stokes Tunes, to release the single, "Gravy (All The Bad Girls)" in February and The Lost Trailers are currently in the studio working on a new record for BNA.

The Lost Trailers first record on BNA, 'Holler Back,' paired the excitement and energy of their live show with top-notch songwriting. It garnered a Top 5 spot on The Billboard Country Albums chart shortly after it's release in August 2008. The break-out success of the title track was followed by more radio play for the Waylon Jennings inspired "How 'Bout You Don't." The Lost Trailers became known as an electrifying live act as they toured behind the album.
