New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Sarasota's own veteran local musician Twinkle (Schascle Yochim) and her band Rock Soul
Radio have announced their Summer 2017 European tour, Takin' the
Walls Off. Notably, the band has curated a cultural fan-experience by inviting them to tag along and make this memorable tour an unforgettable trip of a lifetime.
Schascle Yochim (Twinkle), southern rock legend
Buddy Yochim's daughter, has been touring the Tampa Bay for over 25 years. Performing as the lead singer and songwriter for her band Rock Soul Radio, 'Twinkle' was formerly signed to Warner Brothers for her 1990 debut album "Haunted by Real Life" and has been privileged to share the stage with prominent musicians such as Aerosmith, Rod Stewart, Dickey Betts, Sheryl Crow, The Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, among many others.
Estranged from sister Twinkle at birth, reconnecting after 26 years, touring member Tony LeClerc, of Twinkle's rock, soul and blues band plays bass guitar and vocals. Other members include Lenny Brooks on lead guitar and Benny Puckett on drums. LeClerc and Brooks are formerly of New York City's heavy metal scene and joined the band in 2010. Puckett, the band's drummer, didn't join the band until much later in January 2016. This formation of band members is expecting a new album to drop in
Spring 2017. Twinkle and RSR are "eager to release some new music" to their steadfast fan following, which will debut shortly before the
Walls Off tour commences through Europe.
Twinkle and Rock Soul Radio's Takin' the
Walls Off European tour will kick off in July 2017 for two weeks and is set to hit Lisbon, Portugal; Barcelona, Spain; and Provence, France. The band's touring management company, Sarasota-based Oval Penny Touring, LLC, is continuing to tack on additional stops as opportunities are confirmed. Spokeswoman of Oval Penny, Desiree Schell commented, "The best part is that we're mixing two of the most exciting things in life: travel and music. I know travel, Twink and the boys know music, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to put together this European journey for the band and all their devoted fans." The tour is offered through Explorica, which promotes educational travel and life experiences.
