Both Gene Austin and Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra had #1 hits with their recordings of "Ramona" in 1928. Ruth Etting charted at #10 while Scrappy Lambert charted at #18. Charting remakes of "Ramona" include: #12 Billboard Pop for the Gaylords in 1953, #72 Hot 100 for the Blue Diamonds in 1960, #4 UK for the Bachelors in 1964 and #8 Country for Billy Walker in 1968.
