Why Did OutKast Break Up? An Andre 3000 solo album has been the discussion of OutKast fans for the past 6 years or more. OutKast never officially broke up it was presented more as a hiatus and they still never speak negatively about each other whenever they are interviewed which is rarely. However, Big Boi has released two solo albums and the only time we've ever seen Andre 3000 doing music is when he's featured on songs by other rappers.
