Das ist der vierte Track meiner persönlichen LIVE & UNPLUGGED Biografie "PIECE OF LIFE" aus 6 Songs. Eine Art Dankeschön an die Künstler, die mich als Musiker und Songwriter inspiriert, vielleicht sogar als Mensch geprägt haben.
ZU DIESEM TITEL/KÜNSTLER: Es ist ein Song bzw. eine Band die man mag oder nicht mag. Ich persönlich bin fasziniert. SNOW PATROL hat es so unglaublich drauf, mit einer Monotonie in ihren Songs zu arbeiten, wie kaum eine Andere. Die Stimme von Gary Lightboy macht dabei wirklich den großen Unterschied. Es gibt kaum eine spannende Phrase, keine Höhen oder Tiefen wo man echt das Limit des Sängers mitfühlt. Im Gegenteil, es bewegt sich alles schön in der Mitte, doch langweilt niemals! Es zieht einen förmlich in den Bann. Es ist eine Art Meditation, man fängt auf einmal an zu schweben. Dann noch der Tekst dazu… Light up, light up, as if you have a choice , even if you cannot hear my voice, i'll be right beside you dear... du bist ein Licht für die Welt, du bist nicht allein.
Im Jahr bin ich etwa 85.000 bis 100.000 km unterwegs. Davon wirklich sehr viel alleine. Die meiste Zeit investiere ich in die Vorbereitung. Nur etwa 5% der Zeit geht in die LIVE Auftritte. Viele meinen, Musiker sein ist etwa um 11:00 Uhr aufwachen, dösen bis 13:00 Uhr, Frühstück bis 16:00, Duschen bis 19:00, Auftritt um 21:00 bis 23:00, Saufen bis 4:00 Uhr und dann wieder von vorne...es ist ein Job wie jeder andere, dann aber 7 Tage die Woche, wenn andere feiern, ist man sehr oft für die Party verantwortlich. Sozialleben geht gaaaanz weit nach hinten. Es ist eine Leidenschaft die man lebt und liebt und man lernt besser zu früh als zu spät mit Kritik umzugehen, sonst frisst es dich auf.
Mit dem Song RUN bedanke ich mich nicht nur bei der grandiosen Band SNOW PATROL, sondern auch bei all denen, die mich als „wahrer Freund“ begleiten, immer für mich da sind, an mich glauben und akzeptieren, dass ich leider nicht so viel Zeit für sie habe wie sie eigentlich verdient hätten! Wir sind immer verbunden! Ich erinnere mich noch an die Worte:
Sei ein Leuchtturm! Wirf dein Licht weit in die Ferne, vor allem bei Sturm und Regen!
Du bist nicht allein, du bist nie allein!

This is the fourth track of my personal LIVE & UNPLUGGED biography "PIECE OF LIFE" out of 6 songs. A kind of thank you to the artists who inspired me as a musician and songwriter, perhaps even as a human being.
TO THIS TITLE / ARTIST: It's a song or a band you like or hate. I am personally fascinated. SNOW PATROL is so crazy about working with a monotony in their songs like no other. The voice of Gary Lightboy really makes the big difference. There is hardly an exciting phrase, no ups or downs where you really feel the singer's limit. On the contrary, everything moves nicely in the middle, but never bores! It literally captivates you. It's a kind of meditation, you start to float. Then there is the text about it ... Light up, light up, as if you have a choice, even if you can not hear my voice, I’ll be right beside you dear ... you are a light for the world, you are not alone ,

With the song RUN I thank not only the great band SNOW PATROL, but also all those who accompany me as a "true friend", who are always there for me, believe in me and accept that unfortunately I do not have that much time for them as they would have earned! We are always connected! I still remember the words:
Be a lighthouse! Throw your light far into the distance, especially in storm and rain!
