The moment I heard the song, I felt a strong impression to memorize that exact moment of my children's lives and pause for a moment to really LOOK at them. This song took hold in my heart, and I knew I had to make this video with each of them. I had to capture their ages and personalities...because as we all know, kids grow SO fast. Thankfully, Reese was on board to sing the song for me...otherwise it would have been me (Suzy) singing, and this is not something you want to hear. :-) It took five months to execute this project, mostly because my heart was involved in every last detail, and I tried to include the kids as much as possible in the process. There was wardrobe and sword selection, fairy wings to paint, a star board to build, dolls that looked like each character (thanks @HTCO for the inspiration!) in addition to the audio recording and video location scouting. It was definitely a work of love! We filmed the forest "Neverland" scene at a nearby park, and when I was finally able to get home and review the footage, the clip of Weston (as Peter Pan) and Rylie (as Wendy) running into the sunlight took my breath away. It made me hope that this is what heaven will be like; lots of light and surrounded by family. I'm so thankful for these little people that call me mom. I'm so thankful for my amazing husband for putting up with my crazy ideas and staying up late with me while I paint a pirate ship named the Olie Roger. Raphael, you are our number one fan, the first to offer to help, and the one that got stuck cleaning up the confetti. (Sorry about that!) You are amazing! We love you! And to my kids: thank you for being you. Each of you have a distinct uniqueness that brings a wonderful dynamic to our family. Thank you for participating in this video!
