Joel Telling, the 3D Printing Nerd, came to the rescue by printing a repair part for my Playmobil trainset, which is part of my annual holiday display. I have been collecting Playmobil toys since I was 5, and it is awesome to know there are 3d Printable fixes for some of my irreplaceable childhood memories. In this video, Joel teaches me the basics of 3d Printing, something I hadn't really considered a skillset I'd need until very recently. As it turns out, three dimensional printing would actually hugely useful for me in my daily life, whether it be printing replacement parts for plastic items that normally couldn't be repaired, printing investment molds for casting, printing decals and other parts for my 1953 truck I'm restoring, printing hose and irrigation parts and planters for the farm... the possibilities are endless, and I'm really looking forward to teaming up with Joel for more 3d printed projects!
