I really connected with this song. Continuously throughout the song, I would hit a D note for every chord I played. Gradually, the D note softened as I played. It seemed to me to symbolize a dying person's heart beat. And as we approached the end of the song, the D note no longer existed, and the final words were merely a plead to "Say Something". Although simple, this song drew me in completely. I found myself wishing furiously for someone dying beneath my feet to say something. It's truly a beautiful piece.
