Famous Greek singer Angela Dimitriou has visited neighboring Turkey several times to perform on stage. Her last concert, thanks to the thousands of Turks who attended the show, proved her popularity once more. On Sept. 9, 2012, Angela Dimitriou along with well-known Greek clarinetist Vassilis Saleas and Turkish singer Ziynet Sali entertained about 7,000 Turkish fans in Istanbul. When Dimitriou appeared on stage dressed in white, she received a standing ovation. The next day, the country’s media praised Dimitriou and Saleas’ performance. According to newsbeast.gr, the singer and musician arrived in Istanbul a day prior to the concert, while the tickets had been sold out many days earlier.
