MANNING RIVER: Whitewater canoeing [OC1 & OC2] with kids

Canoeing and kayaking scenes from various rapids and races in the Barrington River (Manning basin), NSW, at low flow, over several days in early Autumn. Solo paddling, and tandem with kids. Boats include a Mad River Freedom Solo (wooden gunnels & deck), Mad River Legend 16RX, and Australis 2-Up. Helmet cam with a GoPro HD Helmet HERO, and bow cam with a Sanyo Xacti. All canoe paddles are home-made. In this episode a paddle breaks, capsizes occur, a local yabby tries to scare off the paddling invaders, and butterflies swarm. Plus, we see how it looks for a canoe to be thrown over the shoulders of its master. It all ends peacefully round the camp fire.
