Had such a fright this weekend :( Went competing with Jay to west kype, had a brillint show he was such a good lad, working on him being alot more forward and he was really going well and feeling more confident each time! So was very pleased with him!!
(Would also like to point out the white stuff round his chest isn't sweat lol!!! I was wondering why I was getting lots of dirty looks haha! Never noticed till I got off... I was mortified! I had sprayed him with dry shampoo the night before but was too cold to wash it off so I just sponged him down, never thought much of it... haha! Bt he was ever so slightlysweaty on his neck and his breastplate just got to wok lathering im all up haha!! So looked like I had beaten him up for an hour! haha!!! embarrasing :P Never again do I use dry shampoo! haha!)
But anyway, got him loaded up and off we went home... as you can see from the pics at the end something happened and our tailer unhitched... JUMANJI IS OKAY.. thank goodness... don't know how on earth he is! But the trailer ended up going off the road and into the field down an embankment... I have never felt to panicked in all my life I felt sick... Genuinely thought I had lost him, didn't know what I was going to find in the trailer, I ran down the hill as fast as I could and ran up to the triler and bless him my little Jay had somehow managed to stand up in the front section of the trailer, what was the left hand side was now the floor, I think he went over the breastbars and landed in the front bit, struggled to his fee breaking the rope n the right hand side of him, but still being tied to the left meant his head was now tied to what was the floor... don't know how he fit into that wee space but therehe sood trapped by the partitiong, which is absolutel solid and held in with big metal pins, he was just standing shaking :( I climbed through and stood right in next to him, but godness if he were to start panicking we both would have been seriously hurt atleast.. we couldn't get the partition opened cos it was so jammed, my dad and a guy who drove by and stopped starte pulling and battering the partition and got it pulled right out, and I slowly tried to turn Jay to walk him out.. we were in a marsh and the trailer was all water inside to was sooo slippery, and the wee soul just walked out the trailer perfectly and out into the field, I have never felt so relieved and upset and in shock my whole life.... I honestly didn't exect to get him out in one peice when I seen that trailer lying in the field. :(
But he's such a star got him out and checked him all over and took all his boots off... all he has, is a wee scratch above one eye, a wee scratch on his hip, and a wee scratch on his hock. And that's it. Goodness a horse got kicked at the show that day and has a wound through to the muscle, just from walking by another horse, and yet Jumanji's went through all that and has come out so calm and perfect adn amazing, absolute miracle!!!!!! He then as soon as he accpted my hugs and tears got right down to business eating the grass!!! Typical penguin he is!!!!!
I phoned a friend and bess them the whole yard where there to help, we got another trailer and I blindfolded him and everyone got a rope round his bum and we just got him on, he started whinnying and walking up the ramp haha he couldn't figure out what was going on atall!!!
He had about 3 bags of treats and carrots troughout it all and I can't explain how relieved I am that he's home and safe.
Absolute freak accient and it definitely makes me so scared to put him anywhere near a trailer again... think I'll need to save up for a we horsebox if we ever go otu again! My goodness though was such an awful experience, I hope noone ever has to go through anything like it ever again :(!!!
Thank you soooo much to everyone who helped and everyone for all the kind messages and comments on my facebook ect, sorry if I can't get back to you all my phone honestly hasn;t stopped since. but I appreciate every word, thank you so much!!
Jmanjis absolutely fine, seems quite quiet but apart from tat his usuall self, will probobly be a few days before can really tell so he's having a week atleast to chill in his field. Thanks again everyone, cant thank you all enough for being there through such an awful experience!!!!
