Bidrag ”Human” är en ballad med en relativt mörk låttext. Med rader som ”You might feel powerless at times” och ”What’s the purpose of this pain” är det lätt att tolka låten som deppig.
Oscar Zia själv väljer dock att tolka den på ett positivt sätt.
– Det är ingen sorgsen ballad utan en låt som ska sprida hopp med mycket kämpaglöd, säger han till svt.se/melodifestivalen.
Det mörker som beskrivs är gemensamt för alla människor och blir därför något vi kan förenas i, menar han.
– Den handlar om att vi alla är människor, med våra respektive fel och brister. Vi kan lugna våra funderingar och ångesten över våra egna problem i tanken på att det är lika för alla människor.
