Shed Chicken Coop with Giant Custom Run for Hens & Roosters

The Carolina Coops team went to Orlando, Florida to customize a shed that Maria bought for her chickens, but the project turned into a huge one, with a giant 18' x 20' run, that has a separate part for the customer's 4 roosters. Designer and coop builder Evan came up the drawing and specs for the run on site. Matt takes Maria around to see her custom shed/henhouse combo for the first time and show some of the features of this very unique chicken coop. They also discuss many challenges of keeping chickens in a small, big box store coop and the challenges of this build. Just like all our coops, this one also incorporates the deep litter method and has a drop down door on the nest box. The hens started going in the nest boxes immediately.
