Dee Dee Phelps...of Dick & Dee Dee

She began life as Mary Sperling. For recording and commercial reasons her name was changed to Dee Dee, without any input from her. But as a young girl living in an environment filled with rock 'n' roll influences in southern California, she went with the tide. She enjoyed her ride over the rise and fall created by the waves of rock 'n' roll. She was an active participant and she enjoyed her perspective as an observer. Dee Dee shares her story with Tom.
