UST - The University of St. Thomas: A Premier Catholic Univeristy
This video gives a major glimpse into who I am and how I was shaped. I went in to St. Thomas as a Baptized Unbeliever.... basically raised a pagan on MTV and Public School. It is the rational and philosophical truths that opened my intellect to the faith, but it was the witness of others and the presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament that melted the hardness of my heart.
At UST I learned that my faith and my reason go hand in hand. If I follow my faith out to it its rational conclusions and I don't make excuses to avoid consistency and I will become a saint... I will go to heaven... I will change the world.
It is not like Franciscan University in Ohio in that most of the students are not Catholic and and those who are don't really practice their faith. However, the witness of the Consecrated and those faithful few combined with the compelling reasonableness of the faith changes you.
I recommend this University for anybody and everybody. My smallest class size was 4 students (Cal 4). They have great academics not just Theology and Philosophy. I went in Math/Engineering and I came out Math & Theology.
I know and love many of the people in this video. One of them is my wife. One priest we named our son after and Fr. Anthony is an ace. God bless UST, because without her I don't know what would have become of me.
