Elmer Bernstein: 'Autumn in Connecticut' from soundtrack to 'Far from Heaven'

The Oscar-nominated score to the 2002 movie 'Far from Heaven' was the last soundtrack completed by the American composer Elmer Bernstein (1922-2004), and ended a distinguished 50 year career as a movie composer - he is perhaps best known for his score for 'The Magnificent Seven'. Elmer was not, incidentally, related to his near-contemporary Leonard. On the soundtrack the piece (which is the first track on the recording) begins with a piano solo. I have used the published arrangement - and one or two harmonies differ from the recording. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Played by Phillip Sear http://www.psear.co.uk ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Email: [email protected] http://www.psear.co.uk (Email: [email protected] ) Upcoming live events: https://events.time.ly/hsr9pfk YouTube community tab: https://is.gd/SV4II9 Played by Phillip Sear http://www.psear.co.uk (Email: [email protected] ) Upcoming live events: https://events.time.ly/hsr9pfk YouTube community tab: https://is.gd/SV4II9 WhatsApp: http://wa.me/441444483794
