What sparked the concept of Sparks Motors?
Heavy D’s old man was a hot rod maniac. The guy was a freak of nature when it comes to vehicles. He taught Heavy D at a young age to play with anything motorized. The past generations of the Sparks’ family has built awesome vehicles. Heavy D’s dad had a brain tumor and died ten years ago so he was never able to really fulfill that dream of his. So Heavy D has taken his family’s love for anything motorized and created it into a family legacy.
What is Torq Energy?
We have great partnerships with a lot of different energy drink companies, but one thing that we were finding was that they all had similar ingredients. With Torq Energy, the key ingredient is theacrine, which is very entrusting because it increases your focus. We wanted a functional energy drink, not one that just makes you feel buzzed. We’re going to be working on some promotions here soon because we want you all to try it. Plus a portion of every can sold goes to help the military!
When is the Rock and Rally giveaway over and how do you select the winner?
The Rock and Rally Giveaway ends November 6, 2017 at 11:59 P.M. mountain standard time. We select the winner how we always do. We have a third party company that makes it neutral and fair. We send all our entries to them, they randomly pick ten finalists, and send them back to us. We then do our contests that make it fun to narrow it down and come up with the final winner of the giveaway!
Where did you all learn to speak Spanish so fluently?
We actually learned to speak Portuguese in Portugal and we also have some hispanic mechanics that work with us that have been teaching us Spanish. Heavy D learned to speak Spanish when he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Santa Cruz, Bolivia when he was younger. It was the best two years of his life. Red Beard learned some Spanish earlier in his life too on a service mission in Venezuela.
What did you all do down in Houston?
Houston was a wild ride! We were able to get 3 semi-truck loads full of supplies for the people who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. We got to take some of our monster trucks down there too. Those were the vehicles that we used because the water was too high for normal vehicles. We’d go help people who were stranded in their homes or in neighborhoods that were surrounded by water. We would bring them to the National Guard checkpoint where they would then bust them out to somewhere safe. We were able to station a couple of places too and deliver supplies where people didn't want to leave so they could also have water, food, baby supplies, etc. It was amazing to see that we could use our social media sites to be able to bring so many supplies to the people who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. We loved it. We were able to help and also have fun doing it.
What is the supplement line that you came out with?
We build trucks, not supplements. So we decided to go and find a company that specializes in supplements to help us. This company we are working with probably has the fastest growing supplements in the country right now. We got BCAA's, pre-workout, test boosters, etc. If it’s not the best BCAA’s you’ve had, send it back. We all drink it on a daily basis. We are going to continue to push and amplify that line.
Are there any big products coming up?
There are a couple big products coming out. One of them is the Legion Tonneau covers. They are unbelieveable. There is nothing like them on the market. They’re aluminum, durable, light-weight, and completely weatherproof. The quality and price is second to none. There’s also the Diesel Power wakeboard boat. We’ve worked with Malibu (Axis) boats for a long time and have had a phenomenal relationship with them. We went to our friend who owned Axis and told him that we should build a Diesel boat and he agreed! With this build, we are going to put a marine Duramax in a Axis A24. The build plan is locked down with around 700-750 HP.
